Bakewell Tarts

Ingredients     Qty

Prepare short crust pastry of 120 gms of lour

  1. Pd Sugar       50gms
  2. Margine         50gms
  3. Egg                01
  4. Cake Crumbs 50gms
  5. Pd Cashew nuts 30gms
  6. Jam      20gms
  7. Almond essence    a few drops

Baking Temperature : 150 degreeC

Baking Time   25-30 minutes

Method :

  1. Line the tart or tartlet moulds with short crust pastry and apply jam in them.
  2. Mix cake crumbs and cashew nut pwd together.
  3. Cream fat and sugar till light and fluffy
  4. Add egg to the creamed mixture and mix roughly adding theses.
  5. Add the mixture of cake crumbs and cashew nuts and mix well.
  6. Putthe mixture into the lined pastry cases and decorate with pastry strips.
  7. Bake at the required time and temperature.
